Emma Porter
Emma
joined Legal Insurance Management in January 2006 with eight years of
previous experience in the legal profession as well as the knowledge she
gained from her law degree,
post-graduate diploma in Legal Practice and Masters degree in law. Emma began her
legal career as an advisor for the Citizens Advice Bureau and doing
voluntary work with a number of solicitors' practices. She then spent
over six years handling all aspects of law for a group of IT training
companies, progressing from Legal Assistant to Head of Legal
Services and HR; also joining the board as Group Company Secretary.
When not at work, Emma is a keen caver and heads several committee posts
at both a local and national level. Emma enjoys many different outdoor
pursuits and likes to travel whenever possible. She has been on caving
expeditions in far-flung destinations including China and Lebanon. If
she had not chosen the career she was in today, Emma would like to have
had a career as a full time speleologist!
