Based in the Midlands, Legal Insurance Management (LIM) was established in 2000 by qualified experts in the Professional Fee Insurance market.

Our skills in all types of Professional Fees Insurance enable us to provide facilities to the insurance market ranging from the simplest forms of Motor Uninsured Loss Recovery, to the complexities of Commercial Professional Fee insurance.

We are also able to provide bespoke underwriting and products in niche areas which can be written in isolation or supporting other insurance covers. These can include Legal and Tax Helplines, Home Emergency Breakdown, Vehicle Breakdown, Employment & Health & Safety and Credit Hire and Repairs.

The success of LIM is based around our relationship with our intermediaries and insurers. We are keen to enter into long-term agreements that provide security for both parties and give the ultimate user both confidence and continuity.

Our Helpline facilities are manned by Solicitors and Taxation specialists who are qualified to give quality advice and guidance to our policyholders. Specialist technical advice will be provided together with practical guidance with a view to resolving issues efficiently and cost effectively.

For our standard 'Before the Event (BTE)' products, LIM has developed software to enable our intermediaries to provide instant quotations for their Personal or Commercial clients together with the ability to transact business electronically with us. In England and Wales, our 'After the Event (ATE)' products provide solutions for Solicitors or Accident Management Companies to their 'No Win, No Fee' arrangements with their clients.

For the Scottish market, LIM has become one of the leading providers of Speculative Fee insurance to solicitors. Our product is bespoke to the Scottish market reflecting the differences in the legal system and the fact that premiums remain unrecoverable from the defenders.
