LIM is pleased to confirm the launch of our new Travel Legal Expenses policy designed to protect the traveller against the financial consequences resulting from a  'Holiday from Hell'. The policy is designed to provide legal assistance to policyholders where they wish to take action against a tour operator, airline, ferry operator, cruise line or hotel provider for a breach of contract which has had a serious impact on the holiday including their enjoyment.

Emma Porter, LIM's Claims Manager (a seasoned traveller in her own right having completed trips to China, Lebanon, Norway, Turkey, Romania, and Hungary in the last 12 months) stated ' it is an unfortunate fact of life that despite all the excitement and expectation, that holidays do not always go smoothly and there are times when the organisations are reluctant to compensate the affected parties.   An individual often finds it difficult to get large organisations to listen to them seriously and that is where we can step in and offer appropriate help and assistance to find an acceptable solution. We reviewed the travel insurance market place and found that this cover was not generally available to the travelling public via existing product'.
