If you have not already done so, contact Royal Mail to check whether there has been a redirection order on your address.
-
Obtain a copy of your credit file to see whether this has been affected by any fraudulent activity.
-
Identify any applications or organisations that you have no knowledge of. Return the credit file back to the Credit Agency with the items in question highlighted.
-
Notify the bank or credit company that the application/transaction is fraudulent in writing with copies of the correspondence retained.

You should then consider whether you should make a CIFAS referral which creates a referral procedure on all future applications for credit.
