Lost Or Stolen Passport
  1. Whether your passport is lost or stolen, the missing passport must be reported to the Identity and Passport Service (IPS). An online report can either be completed online at www.IPS.gov.uk or phone 0300 222 0000. Alternatively, you can obtain lost/stolen passport form from your local post office.

  2. If stolen, the passport must be reported to the police immediately.

  3. Once the reporting of a lost or stolen passport is completed, the IPS should then advise you to submit an application for a new passport as soon as possible. However, if the passport is subsequently found, then it must be returned immediately to the IPS.
